Who here is a Reese's fan like us?

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are our favorite, but we do love some Reese's Pieces too.

Is it just our family, or do ya'll think the holiday shaped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups taste better than the traditional cups?

I feel like there's more peanut butter in the pumpkin, tree or egg shaped ones for the holidays and that's what I like the most about them anyway.

Today's recipe is perfect for using leftover Halloween candy or if you have some Reese's Pieces laying around.

It's also a fantastic way to use ripe bananas and is completely different and unique compared to most banana bread recipes you see on Google or Pinterest.

The crunchiness from the Reese's Pieces is perfect with the soft bread. And that peanut butter glaze on top?? SO good and such a perfect way to make this loaf even more special than it already is.

We love it for a treat at breakfast, a snack in the lunchbox or even a dessert. So tasty anytime you eat it.

What are the ingredients in this recipe?

  • All purpose flour: It's a combination of hard and soft wheats. Bleached flour provides a softer texture. It's versatile and you can bake most anything with it!
  • Baking powder: It's a dry leavening agent, with a shelf life about 9-12 months. Baking powder is used to increase the volume and lighten the texture of baked goods by causing bubbles in a wet mixture. Baking powder is usually made with a combination of baking soda, cream of tartar and cornstarch.
  • Bananas: A banana is an elongated fruit produced by large herbaceous flowering plants. Bananas are one of the most popular fruits in the world. They contain essential nutrients such as potassium, vitamin c and vitamin b6. They are also a good source of fiber.
  • Butter: A dairy product consisting of approximately 80% butterfat and made from the fat and protein components of milk or cream. Most commonly made from cow's milk, but can also be made from sheep, goat, yak, or buffalo milk.
  • Peanut Butter: Peanut butter is a paste or spread made from ground, dry roasted peanuts. It's relatively low carb food and contains good amounts of fats and protein, as well as some fiber. The two main kinds of peanut butter are crunchy or chunky and smooth or creamy. In crunchy peanut butter, some coarsely-ground peanut fragments are included to give extra texture.
