NFL salary cap rankings from 1-32 (including the Commanders) (2024)

It’s the quietest time of the year for the NFL. Between the end of the offseason and the start of training camp, business around the league is slow as players are away, and coaches and general managers get some downtime before another long season.

That doesn’t mean business doesn’t go down, though. It’s a popular time for teams to work on contract extensions for their players or reach a long-term agreement with a player on the franchise tag.

The Washington Commanders were busy this offseason, adding over 20 players in free agency and another 20 via the 2024 NFL draft and undrafted free agency. Despite all those moves, the Commanders remain in excellent salary-cap shape heading into the 2024 season. If general manager Adam Peters wants to make a big move, such as acquiring a certain high-priced receiver via trade, money would be no obstacle.

Where do the Commanders rank among all 32 NFL teams in salary cap room? Using Over the Cap, here is the cap space for every team from most to least.
