2020 (Marquette): Played in five games during her freshman year ... Had two shots (one on goal) and one ground ball on the season ... Made her debut at Notre Dame (Feb. 9) ... Had one shot on goal against Niagara from the free position (Feb. 23) ... Collected one ground ball at Detroit Mercy and also had one shot (March 11).
Prior to Marquette: Lettered four times each in both lacrosse and basketball at East Grand Rapids High School (Grand Rapids, Michigan)… Named as the team’s co-captain in both her junior and senior years in lacrosse and during her senior year for basketball… Two-time All-American, three-time All-State, three-time All-Conference and two-time Academic All-State honoree... Helped her team to state championships as a freshman in 2016 and as a senior in 2019… Scored a game-high eight goals to lead her team to victory in the 2019 state championship… Four-time regional champion (2016-19) and two-time conference champion (2016 and 2019) at East Grand Rapids… Led team with 162 points (101 goals, 62 assists) during her senior year… Coached by Rich Axtell.
Personal: Daughter of Jim and MaryKay Schumar… Father played tennis at the University of Iowa… Has four older sisters, Ann, Kathleen, Grace and Liz, and one older brother, Tom… Majoring in mechanical engineering.
